king bowser koopa
From lands of fire and stone, from lakes of lava and smoke, from mountains of beasts and warriors, King Bowser Koopa was born unto this world. For generations his family had bred only with the strongest of fighters, letting the weaker ones to defend for themselves. It was a "eat or be eater" mentality for sure, and Bowser was given the strongest of survival instincts. Somewhat of a runt, there were not great hopes for him. In fact his parents starved him on purpose and left him out in the cold on many nights, hoping that he would rise to the challenge. Their hopes were gifted with a child more massive and stronger than any Koopa had known before. His roar was terrifying, his shell solid and sharp, and his limbs round and imposing. He easily assumed the throne at a young age and swore to lead his people to a better life.
He had been told of how the Toadstools doomed his people to death and misery, and he hated them for it. He went to a royal party held in the Mushroom Castle with the hidden motive of tearing the place down from the inside. But when he arrived, he was struck by Cupid's arrow when the beautiful Princess Peach came into view. He swooned after her as only Koopas know how: he challenged others to fights and showed feats of strength to prove he was the best suitor. To his horror, she refused his advances and ordered him to leave. He went home with a fury never known before. He quickly gathered his forces and invaded the Mushroom Lands, kidnapping the Princess Peach and taking her back to his home. He tried over and over again to impress her with his power, but she would not submit to him. He was very near attacking her when the Mario Brothers appeared and beat him in hand-to-hand combat. The defeat was humiliating, and he vowed vengeance at any cost.
Constantly losing the Princess Peach to Mario and Luigi was making him look weak in the eyes of his family, so as a last ditch attempt to finally rule the Mushroom Lands, he abducted the heroes instead. Mario and Luigi now bask in a prison cell hanging above the belly of a volcano, and when Bowser has the Princess Peach in his hands once more, he will make sure the Mario Brothers are no longer a threat.

larry koopa
Prince Larry Koopa, the youngest of the legitimate offspring of King Bowser, is perhaps believed to be the potentially most intelligent of them all. He simply hasn't grown into his body or his brain yet. Realizing that he had six older siblings to compete against, he decided to find his own useful talent and right away, or else be victim to one of the other's power plays. He realized his unusual knack for military politics, and he began to travel the lands with the smallest amount of soldiers yet winning the greatest victories. He encroached upon the Mushroom Land territories further and further everyday, but what should have been a mark of accomplishment for Prince Larry became a liability. The other siblings saw him as a contender and began to plot against him. He quickly swore fealty to Prince Ludwig Von, the oldest and second smartest of them all. He now does his oldest brothers bidding without question, which is why he always finds himself with the smallest castle right at the battlefront.
morton koopa
Prince Morton Koopay, second youngest of the legitimate siblings, is not so much a war general or political tycoon as a muscular simpleton given an army to command. Instead of honing his skills as a ruler of the Koopa Kingdom, he chiseled his body into what he considers to be physical perfection. He gave up the idea of outsmarting his siblings long ago and instead plans to rule with personal might. If it were a matter of one-on-one physical combat without use of magic or technology, that might have been the case. As is, he can't even touch the other sibling's territories without having to be met with an army five times bigger than his. In his frustration and anger, he has receded to his own lands and ruled with an iron fist of cruelty.
wendy koopa
Princess Wendy Koopa, the only daughter of King Bowser and third youngest of the legitimate heirs, has had a hard and unfair life. Normally the Princess of the Koopas had been treated as second rate citizens and ignored completely when it came to the quest for power. Not Princess Wendy. Her greed and vanity is only matched by that of her father's, and she has made quite a name for herself from her backstabbing political tactics. Oddly, she has not abandoned her "femininity". In fact she has embraced it wholeheartedly and with the hunger of a tyrant. She believes herself to be a beauty the whole world needs to recognize, and so she is constantly promoting beauty pageants (of which she always wins) or posing for works of art to be erected in her honor. She has many times before openly offered Mario a place by her side as her prince, but his repeated silent refusal has created a love-hate relationship within her that sends her off into legendary temper tantrums.
iggy koopa
Prince Iggy Koopa, the fourth youngest of King Bowser's legitimate children, is "...a brilliant scientist trapped inside the royal bloodline of a bunch of troglodytes..." (his own words). While he still has a passion to rule as his siblings do, he approaches it at a very different angle. He took to archaic studies very well at a young age and led archaeological digs into the bowels of his family's castle, finding remnants of technology abandoned long ago. Studying these rare technological fossils, he has fashioned himself as an inventor and uses his devices to further advance his war efforts against the Mushroom Lands. His siblings are constantly offering to purchase his inventions, which he is more than willing to do so...for the right cost. He is believed to be the richest of the Koopas, but his incredibly small stature keeps him from even his own people from taking him seriously.
roy koopa
Prince Roy Koopa, fifth youngest of King Bowser's legitimate children, is a self-proclaimed rock star and twisted hero rolled up all in one. While not to terribly bright or even that dangerous, he knows how to manipulate the masses into worshiping him like a king of pop. His musical talent is actually quite good, and his voice is both soothing and rough at the same time. He's all about his popular image, and he'll do anything that'll make him even that more desirable. He's treated as a joke by his other siblings who feel that the only way to rule is through power, not by being liked. However, whenever they find themselves under harsh social criticism, they always come to Prince Roy for some pointers on being a "kool koopa".
lemmy koopa
Prince Lemmy Koopa, sixth youngest of King Bowser's legitimate children, always seemed to be a little off in the head. Being born basically a runt (he is the smallest of all of King Bowswer's children), he was always expected to be overpowered by another sibling and then disappear into the darkness. Exactly the opposite happened. Some say he was born without a sense of fear but given two funny bones to make up for it. He is practiced in the arts of comedy and acrobatics, but he truly shines in his desire for danger sports. He has walked a tightrope over a canyon, swam with a t-bone steak on his neck in a pond full of piranha fish, played the fife in the middle of a moonless night in a haunted castle, and so on and so on and so on. He hosts tournaments in his lands almost monthly for those daring to take life-threatening risks, and he gives the survivors high ranks in his army. This recklessness for his own life scares his other siblings, and they have all agreed to leave him alone until he finally makes a big mistake and falls into a pit of nothingness. To be honest, he's waiting for it too.
ludwig von koopa
Prince Ludwig Von Koopa, the oldest of King Bowser's children, is all what an evil tyrant should be and more. He is ruthless, lacks empathy, and has a truly frightening hunger for power. He is not nearly as strong as his father, and probably will never be, but he knows more about the politics and social going ons in the Koopa Kingdom than his father ever will. All of his younger siblings have tried to overthrow him in one form or another, and each time he has bested them and sent them packing with their tails between their legs. He rules with the motto of "Break one egg and the other eleven will know their places", and so all his servants try their absolute best to avoid being the broken egg of the day. As of right now, he seems likely to be the next successor to the throne. However, he has made no move against King Bowser at all. Instead, he acts as the King's right hand man; executing King Bowser's orders swiftly and violently if need be. Some think it's because he is too afraid of his own father, but others think that Prince Ludwig Von is simply a patient beast that knows all good things take their time.
bowser koopa jr.
Master of the Treasury, Bowser Koopa Jr., the youngest and illegitimate child of King Bowser, is a wildcard in the political chess games in the royal family. While not officially declared as one of King Bowser's offspring, the resemblance is quite uncanny. He is young, but he is quickly growing into a body that many believe will be even more massive than King Bowsers. He also has a strong sense of vanity, and so he covers his undeveloped incisors with a mask that resembles the King's maw. The other legitimate heirs would have removed him from the game long ago, but King Bowser has taken a liking to Bowser Jr. more so than any of his other children. Bowser Jr. has been given the great responsibility to collect taxes from the other children's castles and take them back to the homeland; a fact that makes the Koopa Kids hate him even more. He does not seem to care about this at all. He acts like he is truly the next King of the Koopa Kingdom and orders his father's military forces without consent or care.
kamek
For as long as the Koopas have been in power, the Order of the Black Shell has devoted itself to spreading the domain of their royal leaders through dark magics and sorcery. They have been scholars to young princes and right hand men to the Kings, never faltering in their quest to serve. Kamek, the High Sorcerer, is King Bowser's personal attendant in the matters of magic and the mystic elements of the universe. In the past the Order of the Black Shell had been used reluctantly as a sort of "Hail Mary" when things became bleak. King Bowser instead uses Kamek very frequently; demanding anything that might give his people a military edge over his enemies. Kamek is happy to serve at a moment's notice, for he knows this is the first time a Sorcerer has been allowed such free reign with the dark arts. He is constantly conjuring up new spells and curses to throw at his lord's enemies, and no one truly knows exactly what Kamek will think of next.
boom boom
Boom Boom, Sheriff of the Conquered Castles, is a story of hope for Koopas all over the world. Born of a low and poor family, Boom Boom had to struggle against starvation and thievery on a daily basis. When he turned thirteen, his parents sold him as an indentured servant to a martial arts master, who used Boom Boom as a janitor and a punching bag. All the students would be allowed to throw punch after punch against Boom Boom, and he could do nothing except take every one. As he grew to incredible levels of strength and height, Boom Boom started to punch back at the students. Many of them were beaten black and blue before they ran to their master and told on the 'poor child'. The master confronted Boom Boom, and Boom Boom challenged the master to a duel. After a few rounds of legendary combat, Boom Boom was the victor. Little did he know that this master was actually the current Sheriff, and when King Bowswer heard of this, he immediately transferred the title over to Boom Boom. This new Sheriff is responsible for maintaining order in all the minor castles in each of the Royal Koopas' domains, and he does so with a determined fervor that is indeed quite impressive.
king boo
In the distant lands of the Sarasaland Kingdom, Princess Daisy and the rest of her royal bloodline rule the lands with a fair yet strong hand. They have done so for many generations, and few can even remember reading scrolls that said otherwise. However, the Sarasas have not always ruled on a golden throne. Long ago the land was ruled by a cruel tyrant who enjoyed torturing his own people for his amusement. He would pit them against each other in battles to the death, only to put the survivors against even more innocent souls. None dared to oppose the king; none other than the first Sarasa. This ancient man had survived many battles, but he refused to fight another one of his own people. He openly challenged the King to a duel to the death, and the arrogant King accepted. The King was overpowered, and the first Sarasa became the first King Sarasa in history. Over time the tale has been forgotten, but it seems that the restless soul of the original cruel king wants to reclaim what is rightfully his. King Boo, a ghost of magnificent power, rules his undead army in the shadows of the night, waiting for any chance to overtake the Sarasa bloodline. Of course with Luigi constantly thwarting his plans, he was getting nowhere. Now that the green hero is gone, King Boo has come back with a vengeance.
petey piranha
As part of Kamek's quest for more power, he has long studied the breeding patterns and mutations of the piranha plants. In fact he has used his magics to speed up their growth process in order to manipulate evolution and create a new breed of loyal plant breed. Petey Piranha is the result of his hard work. Petey is the first of his kind to not be rooted either in soil or in the transfer tubes, and he is massive in size compared to his fellow plants. He has a moderate amount of intelligence, but he cant really do much other than carry out patrols and attack any foreigners. Kamek is working with the beast on learning basic concepts, but its' a long hard process.
metal mario
As King Bowser continued to be defeated time and time again, Prince Iggy observed the unusual chubby hero in close detail. He wrote down all of Mario's physical and mental merits and calculated their efficiency in combat. Then Prince Iggy created a machine intended on mapping an organism's biology and replicating it in the fashion of a mechanical creation. Iggy created the automaton by the name of Metal Mario. He has all the powers of Mario plus a hard metal skin. Metal Mario could never truly best Mario in a physical combat, and so Prince Iggy has considered his experiment to be a failure. Metal Mario now hides in the shadows, hoping to best Mario or some other hero in combat and prove his worth to his maker.
birdo
Birdo is a rare subspecies of the Yoshis, and no one truly knows exactly how she and her kind has survived over the generations. They live on high and rocky mountains, shooting their balls of fire and hard shelled eggs at any intruders. King Koopa invaded their mountains, intending on making them slaves, but they bravely fought back his first wave of soldiers without losing a single life. Birdo, the leader of these strange creatures, made sure to defeat as many of the Koopas as possible with her great strength and ability to shoot the largest eggs. King Koopa, after seeing their potential, gave them amnesty in his domain and recruited Birdo as another warrior to throw at his greatest enemies. Like all the others under King Koopa, she has never been able to best the Mario Brothers in combat. This very fact has driven her insane, and she has sworn to destroy the brothers at all costs.
